Okay, well the imoticons are page breaks here and the rest needs no explanation. You will find that the setting is somewhere's else in the story in the following chapter but not exactly in the beginning of the next. I'll show you what I mean later today.

Okay, if you seriously have to put emoticons into your story to describe someone's expression, then...

Or...what were the point of them? Sometimes, they seemed just random. Or are they page breaks?? WHAT ARE THEY?

And secondly, are they in Japan or something? Or...where are they? You need to establish a setting here. Why does everyone speak bits of Japanese and have Japanese names, but yet, Brendon is the only one that's totally English? It's highly unlikely that a Japanese family would randomly name their kid something English, or that a American (or wherever they are) family would speak/write/be Japanese (and still have one English kid). I mean, consistency here, people! :D
