Last chapter Caroline was just locking herself in the bathroom- in this chapter she's about to throw herself off of a roof- boy does Gypsy have a strange life. | tlw1 2007-02-02 ch 7, | Will Caroline evolve and change or is she just a passing character? She certainly seems to fit the word "sullen" and she sure seems ungrateful and not much fun to be around. Poor Gypsy - trying to be nice and join this girl for dinner and trying so hard to strike up a conversation. That was nice to surprise her but it's too bad they had to scare the poor, exhausted girl like that! But, Prof. Clark walking her home? I wonder if she'll like that more than she expects. |

I like your view that romance stories don't have to be trashy pop fiction, and I REALLY like what you've set out to prove here. I think this has a really unique opening -- your writing drew me in immediately, and the characters you've developed so far are just great, and all that jazz. And just a random question: is your pen name a reference to Persuasion by Jane Austen? Because that would be an excellent connection to your quest to bring together romance novels and meaningful literature. Anyway, to make a long story short: I like what I see, and I'll be back to read more later. :) |
