It was just a love story, not at all about being crippled (well, maybe a little, but it was really the perfect amount). It was just Matt, not overly preachy. Loved this story. And that little tidbit at the end about Abe having liked him since b4 the accident, well, just adorable. Gave me warm tingly feelings. I hope that you continue writing your whole life, because otherwise you're wasting such brilliant talent. Can't wait to read more of your works in the future.

I have recently become interested in slash romances and am ecstatic that I have stumbled across yours. Simply excellent! I was a bit frustrated with Matt in the beginning, but now he's pretty amazing. Can't wait for your next chapter. GD
Sirivinda 2008-03-01 ch 20,	abuseOhoy there. I got an email this morning recommending me this story, and I started reading it straight away and I just finished it and just... It's adorable. It really is. I don't really have a lot of things to say, but I still wanted to leave you a review to let you know that I've read it and that I liked it. I think this story has a lot of potential pitfalls (key word is 'potential'), such as for example becoming unbearably preachy or clichéed, but I think you avoided them all with flying colours. I suppose one "knew" from the start that Matt and Abe would end up together, so the suspense lay more in the "how" than in the "if". I've been trying hard to think of constructive criticism, because I always find that helpful and I want to subject others to it, and I think if there's one point that I would like to bring up it's Andrew's character. Whereas I do think that he's a good character and necessary for the plot and all that, I find it difficult to really know what his motivation is, you know? Why is he getting back in contact with Matt? I think it's brilliant that you let him acknowledge that he's responsible for the accident, but maybe if you'd built more on how that was, what made him leave Matt, how had he thought about it since, sort of thing. Also, I loved the Peter character! I know he was only in it for like, two seconds, but I think he illustrates so perfectly what a big deal people make out of disabilities. And obviously, Abe is a lovely person for making a reasonably big deal out of it (as in not pretending that someone in a wheelchair will be able to do anything that a ablebodied person may do), but at the same time recognizing the difference between disability and its implications on the one hand and the person on the other. Anyways, yeah, I really enjoyed reading this story, so thanks for sharing it and all that. Toodles, Sirivinda.
Kasee Lara 2008-02-24 ch 20,	abuseThis story deserves a hell of a lot more reviews. I have a feeling it could be the whole wheelchair thing that turned people off, which is actually incredibly sad. Great story, made me grin, made my heart go all jumpy, made me hate Andrew but kinda think they would've been a great couple before the accident (though the flirting while belaying doesn't quite fit), made me love Abe more and yeah, beautiful. :)
