Psychic powers, the 'angel of death', and the goddess of the night. Native Americans believed that owls possessed a link to the spirit world. In Africa the owl associated with witchcraft and sorcery. Other countries such as Japan, India, Australia, and Greenland see the owl as a spiritual symbol. On the other hand, the wren was thought of differently. People didn't know whether it contained divine properties or evil powers. And they were often hunted. They symbolized winter. I hope this helps. You can e-mail me if you wish.
