Wow, excellent piece and an excellent idea! The prose is well done and I especially like how you handled the part about her husband being arrested. It left the emotion to the reader's imagination, not going on about how sad she was.

The only thing I have critique I think you have this mis-categorized. Moving it to a more suitable category would almost surely boost your reviews. I'd say either General or Sci-Fi.
