half-sketched.staccatos 7/16/07 . chapter 1konban wa Well, it has to happen to everyone at one point or another, right? Eventually, people start to think you're capable of undestanding what's going on around you and start talking to you accordingly. I had a moment like that recently. My grandmother was talking about getting a double-mastectomy. I knew what she was saying - the facts and all that - but I just couldn't comprehend. So I just sort of nodded quietly and hoped she wouldn't notice that I was a bit overwhelmed with what she was talking about, LoL. This reminds me of a little child who constantly bugs his parents that he's old enough to understand. So they finally give him a chance to listen and be part of the adults conversations, and he has no clue what's flying. Of course, though, he won't admit to his parents that he was wrong. So he just sort of sits there kind of helplessly ... Gute nacht -Shan- *favs* |
Awen1923 2/8/07 . chapter 1This creates a very vivid scene. I think we have all dug ourselves too deep at least once in our life. Nicely done. |
