I just sat through and read all of this; you sure have a knack of creating female characters that manage to completely and totally enchant me, which is quite a feat considering i am a mostly straight female! even so, i have become completely and totally enamoured with Treasure as I had with Cindy Madison. and the more I read, the more worried I become over her eventual fate. your writing only keeps improving and I love Bliss' foreign accent and this mermaid/sea nymph culture you have created. Ellister and Nathan are both also equally memorable, well rounded creations. I hope that you update this story soon; i know I will be thinking of it often and coming back to reread what is here. Great work as always!

I'm writing my own spin-off of the Little Mermaid at the moment, and your version intrigued me. They are vastly different, but so far, I love yours.

Treasure and Nathan are a nice pair, and Nathan is just tortured enough for my liking. I hope he doesn't break her heart in the end, because her innocence is extremely endearing.

I can't figure out quite what to make of Ellister yet. At first he seemed like a villain, and now while he is a rival for Treasure's affections, he still comes across as a genuinely good man. Bliss is another difficult one. She is sadistic and evil, yes, but it seems she is trying to obtain justice for the imperfects, and I can see where she is coming from. At this point, the perfects seem more evil than her.

The Leviathan monster throws a whole new plot twist into it. I cannot wait to see where this goes.

oh my. i always am disturbed at the gruesomeness in these tales, but.. i keep coming back for more! i'm so addicted to your stories. i actually kept getting confused with another retelling of the classic mermaid story, and that one was not as well written, nor as intriguing and dark as yours.

anyway, i must say that i am glad you've found time to write between school starting up. this story is one of my favorites; i don't know why. i think it's because there are so many characters and so many fantasy elements (the leviathan? AWESOME!). maybe it's because i thought it was on hiatus and it wasn't. but i really like this story. i just added it to my favorites list :3

well, the plot is unfolding... i wonder, will this be as epic as your nutcracker bleeds story? that one is awesome too. oh man. there's so many like subplots in this story yet it's so easy to follow! i just can't stop giving you praise for this story. i don't like elister much for steaing treasure away, but to think that he met bliss before? dang yo. that's pretty twisted. anyway, i only just checked your story so you've had 2 updates since i checked.. so... yeah. haha. i'm glad to see though that you updated :D

Hey Lani! I haven't reviewed any of your stories in a long time, and I apologize for that. I know it's an old excuse, but I've been busy with school. Anyway, I remember reading Dark Depths what feels like a long time ago but for some reason I didn't favorite it. I think I must have suffered a moment of insanity because I have favorited most of your stories. Anyways, to make a long story short I was checking out your profile and saw that you had updated this story. So I am here to say, "Yippee, you wrote another chapter!" I'm sorry you haven't gotten many reviews but I can honsestly tell you that I really, greatly, honestly, and absolutely enjoy this story like I do so many of your others. Thanks for a great read so far! I love the plot twist with the prince seeing her first. I like how you've made your main character flawed...it's a deep breath of realism against all the picture-perfect heroes out there. Anyways, I can't wait for your next chapter. (Also, in ch 10 Bliss doesn't have her accent.)
