i could really relate to this story because my mom passed away on christmas eve when i was 2 years old, and now i absolutely HATE christmas and anything to do with it. and i had the same relationship with my dad that danny did at first. but, like her, i'm now getting a little better. lol. and everything you said about her not believing in love cause her mom died on valentines day i could really relate to and i'm trying to to be the same way about things like that with my mom now. this story just really touched me. (okay i hope that made sense, because rereading it now i'm not sure if it will to you, but that's the only way i can think to explain it lol.)
but aside from that you are an amazing writer! i love all of your stories and i LOVED this one! the survey was so sweet! okay, well great job!

hahahah... pusillanimous. I used that once in my english thesis, and everyone made fun of me because they thought it sounded like, "pussylanimous"... er... yeah, and then my teacher was like, "use a different word". so i had to use "weak and cowardly". *sigh*

I really like this short-story! It's definitely interesting and certainly has piqued my interest. Considering I'm a big cynic of Valentine's Day, I can somewhat relate to the main character, Danny, but I end up... coughcoughdroolingcoughcough over Blake. He seems such a sweet and genuine boy... and I'd love to see what decision she eventually comes up with, if you're ever going to finish it. It's definitely something to read! Keep up the awesome work and once again, you did a great job on this.
