It's more informal than many pieces I've seen, like the speaker is talking to the reader. But it works well. As a philosopher I would venture that it's easier to hide in the shadows because it's comfortable in the darkness. Whereas the light necessitates being honest with oneself, a painful thing. Plants grow in sunlight, do humans as well? I wonder ;) |
