Reviews For: the Lonely Prince
Hed in the Cloudz 2008-05-25 . chapter 1
I love how you've captured the Grimm way of storytelling. You've gotten the perfect faerie tale balance between "show" and "tell," and I would completely believe someone if they told me that this was an original Grimm. Good job!
I don't like the convenience of the ending, though. Grimm's stories always have clever characters who succeed in some strategic way, and yet you skip over the method of success completely! That makes this rather anti-climactic.

A little too short for my liking, but it sticks very true to the Grimm Brother's style of fairy-tales. Well done! ( :: )

That was a very sweet fairy-tale. I think you did do a good job, only, whether your realized it or not, you kind of made it modern.

I think "The Lonely Prince" is very much the modern teenager. But I like it that way.

I DO think that you could make this more of a tale, though. You could just tell us more about the young lady who finally made the prince happy, or how exactly she did it.

Otherwise, it was a nice stab at fairy-tale writing! It DOES look like something that the Grimm Brothers could've written.
