Beautiful, really lovely story.

Interesting, I like the concept, but the rythm of it seems broken and it is a bit wordy.

Lovely story. It sounds rather familiar, but I think it's reminding me of something in Frankenstein. I've been meaning to read Phantom; I read Phantom of the Opera and liked it. I just never have time to read all I want. Alas. Anyway, the imagery in the poem is very strong. I really enjoyed that, even with the parts I didn't quite understand. Very nice work.

I don't know the story of the rose and nightingale, but I don't think I need to in order to appreciate this poem. It is beautiful, and sad, and makes me want to go out and find this story anyway!

Where did you get your hands on a Kay novel, by the way? I have only read Leroux.
