The longer lines seem insanely out of place and out of rhythm. You can shorten them to the length of the rest, can't you? I see that they were once part of the A/N, but so will a discerning contest judge see that they don't fit as written. Also, isn't "Defiance is in my nature;/But tonight is my last stand." from some pop song? I really like "There’s some passion in no glory".
