Aw. This was really sweet. I've always thought that dogs and dolphins are the two happiest creatures on earth. They just want to play all day long. It's a strange idea, but a cute little piece. It's hard to watch pets get so old, feel so much pain, and know that it's up to us to send them to their peace--I'm glad Sonia got to choose when she was ready to go. :-)

Some of the language here was beautiful as well--"skipping giggle" especially calls out to me. Well done!
