I like this, it's a very interesting idea. The little glimpses into people's lives were like mini stories themselves, which worked very well. I have a tendancy to walk in on people's conversations when they're saying things like that. You mixed up past and present a bit, but this was clearly written for the most part. Good job.

Very cool. Each of the people Simon sees is like a little mini-story, in a way. You reveal - or show, really - just enough about them to get me interested, then yank 'em away and show me someone else, which is cool because it makes you keep asking questions about them after you're done reading the story. It kind of... germinates in the mind, I guess. :) Very well-written and paced - like I said, you send the characters away at just the right moment to make you wonder about them. Well done!

The concept of this piece intrigued me, and I wasn't disappointed. The idea is fascinating and I like the random statements you worked in. The closing line made me smile. The tense/point of view gets a little muddied near the end, but otherwise, nicely written.
