Human emotions are the most difficult things to relate, to explain, but... you have conquered. The very last line speaks to me, summing up things I have too, felt in the past...

This is like an echo of the same (or very similar) feelings, even though the situation was (is?) different. The title and the last word are very familiar to me, in all of its meanings and connotations. Maybe one day I can articulate my story as well as you.

most of this was really nice. i like the title and chapters up until names, then hands...but the rest seemed too blunt. all together--well written.

I read them all, but this is the one that will stick with me. haunting. throughout, there is such a detached tone that somehow becomes personal and a...compression of emotion(?) that is striking in its intensity. full of paradox and at times brilliance. cheers.
