This is beautiful and touching. Your imagery is straitforward, yet still effective. I get what you're saying about the lover/brother/friend thing. It makes so much sense. I aslo appreciate how you managed to convey emotion at such a hard time in life. I know that feeling of loss are nearly indescribable, but you managed. A Wonderful poem.

Hey there, I'll be truthful and say that i'm not big on poetry. That being said, this is a touching poem. The words are very simple, and nothing wildly elaborate, and it conveys the pain. I understood the last few lines right away. It's an excellent use of symbolism and those last three lines say a lot. I definitely liked this poem.
