abuseThis is... so very sad. I'm not sure why, but it touched me. It is not often I find a story, a book which truly gets to my heart, and I always treasure them. Just telling you, I'm adding Chaperon to my list.

Ah, I also read your other one-shot, Why Not Me? I could never feel sympathy towards that witch, unlike Elphaba after reading Wicked - who I ended up loving- and though I still don't like her, after reading it I felt like a window opened in my mind.

For me, at least, your stories are the official versions; you should really try to get them published. Now I just have to start reading Queen of Glass, and I'm up for a ride there - 678,579 words? Just my kind of book. I live in South America, so if it does get published (And I wish you the best of lucks about that) the chance of getting it edited and shipped here is pretty slim, but that won't stop me from buying it. I haven't read it yet, but I already now it must be awesome.

I guess I'll see you again in QoG sequel, if you do make it and you do post it on

I can only wish some day I'll write half as well as you!

abuseMy heart was pounding so hard when I finished this story! Such a tragic ending. This was by far, one of the best stories on fictionpress. You're probably told this all the time, but I'll say it anyway. You're an extremely talented writer, and I hope to be just a fraction of the writer you are.

abuseOnce again, a great peice of work!
God I wish I could spin words like you do.
But then again I'd loose my own individuality if I were you.
Oh well.
I loved the relationship between Fenris and Chaperon, innocent, but if he was a man or if she were older, I could definitely see a romance blossoming.

abuseHello, this is also LianFex and I have read Queen of Glass.

Again, this is yet another astounding job. Nothing less I've expected from you. Weaving fairy tales into one significant and wonderful job is one of your best skills, I would guess. Turning simple fairy tales into wonderful and realistic stories made me realize that that is one of your talent that somehow 'seduce' me into reading your stuff. I could also say, this is unputdownable, as what The Washington Post reviewed about Dan Brown's Deception Point. (hehe)

Still, I would bow down in reverence and recognition to your amazing and wonderful skills. I would love to read more from you.

Good luck and goodspeed.

abuseGreat, great story. I loved how dark and morbid it was, especially the witch. It felt like a very old fairy tale and made me think that all fairy tales should be dark and morbid because it fits them better. Great job!!

abuse'But the Glass Queen had her pumpkin carriage, so it was possible…All he could make out was a large wicker basket that poked out from beneath the folds of the cloak.' I assume this is a reference to the Queen of Glass. Hmm, so a wolf saw Celaena in that silly pumpkin with the cheap imitators of Mab and the Fae? Ha.

-_- Chaperon reminds me of my little sister. Very much so. Aww, such a tragic but bittersweet ending. Poor Chaperon, she was scarred for life. (Wohoo! Loved the way it's written, despite the gloomy nature of the story! Uhm, alms for a writer?)

Great story!

abuseMy goodness. What a morbid retelling of Little Red in true Grimm style. I loved it; all the discreet mentions of dozens of fairytales around the world spun into one were just beautifully done. I was not expecting Fenris to die, for some reason, and when he did - and years later when Chaperon did as well - I was almost in tears. You are a powerful writer with a keen eye for realistic approaches on these overblown, sugarspun tales, and I hope you continue writing more of them.
I'd really like to see The Little Mermaid retold, as her story gives you plenty of room to be twist :). Anyway, bravo, and this is definitely favourited.

abuseWow, such a nice twist on Little Red Riding Hood. I definitely like this version better than the original. I just love your stories, always so creative with the way you change the typical fairy tales.

abuseThe description of the forest, the life and death bit was interesting and realistic. It imprints an image on the reads brain, sets a believable setting and shows the audience that you do indeed have skill for the written word.

Your next paragraph solidifies it. All of it.

Alliteration dappled here and there, tastefully done and adding over all flow to the sentences, which in turn flow throughout this story.

There's a picture by the great Boris Vallejo of Dryads. You'd probably enjoy it if you can find it.

There's also one by Louis Royo of a wolf girl.

There are few faults and the odd repetition, though not direct ("Kings" and "Kingdom" in the same line) and certainly nothing appallingly over the top.

As always it seems with you; great grammar, spelling, punctuation, structure everything while stretching and bending the bounds of writing law artfully without disregarding them.

I love how you recreate fairy tales, the Billy Goats mention, the story of Cinderella, and here Little Red. You have an amazing skill and should probably consider a true writing career. I mean they published "Wicked" why not your take on Cinderella? You are one of the few on here that could actually do this, you could be a real published author. The next Rowling, the new face in reestablishing traditional fairy tales in a none traditional manner.

I'd love to see what you can do with Sleeping Beauty and Snow white.

Also a book you may enjoy is "The Black Swan" it's a more realistic take on "The Swan Princess". Twisted and reformed in a style you of all people would be able to appreciate.

abuseI usually don't like things like this, but I thought your story was good. I thought it was interesting that you used the names Fenris and Frenrir.
