I thought this was really well-written. I like the ways she speaks of our dear, obese Henry with such disgust. However, I doubt she ever wanted to return home to the confines of ducal court.

Anne of Cleves was always my favorite Tudor wife, but the least written of. I'd be interesting to see a follow up to this, set ten years later, after she's been made honorary adopted sister and lives, for the most part, in freedom.

Good idea, getting into the mind of the "ugly one." We see too many stories about pretty people nowadays.
Might be a good idea to emphasize the emotions she'd feeling, you know, try changing your sentence structure to give a more urgent feel to the story. Once again, really good idea!
