An interesting storyline. You could play it up so much more, though, right now it's not as gripping as it could be.

And, as an avid lover of all things Asian, I feel it is my duty to inform you that Sakura is a Japanese name, not Chinese. Asian names are not interchangable between countries. Some examples of Chinese names would be Xiou Xing, Mei Li, Zi Qui, stuff like that. Sakura is very much Japanese and not even a little bit Chinese. I'd suggest changing the mother's name if she is of Chinese descent.

There were a few grammatical errors as well, some odd comma usage and whatnot. Nothing too distracting though.

Like I said though, it is a very interesting idea for a story and I like it so far.
