I can't believe they were interupted at ~that~ moment *shakes head*. Another few seconds and Alex would have been "home" ¬_¬. I felt just as frustrated and as desperate as Alex when the knock came, argh!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Great job. Looking at some of the previous chapters, I would have to agree that they had too much dialogue; however, this chapter had just the right amount. Personally, I like to know how the characters feel about some of the situations and comments people make, so this chapter was one that held me firmly until the end. I look forward to other chapters. Until then, I'll be lurking in the shadows. ;)
