As in our loved ones are the people who truly know our true self, or at least, mostly, but accept us anyway. They don't judge us. Am I right? Is that the underlying theme(s)? If so, I completely agree. Whether you like it or not, you have at least two masks; one reserved for the confines of your home, the other for your public life. Private and public. Gah, I feel like I'm lecturing. I better stop. Loved this fic!
