ch 1,
The easily-bedazzled child in me can't help but exclaim "Neat!" at reading this poem. I enjoy the contrast between modern rhythms and themes (I'm wasted, can you taste it?) and Shakesperean tragedy. I hardly ever stumble across free verse poetry that maintains a recognizable cadence - which this does. This poem contains some exraordinarily potent lines (like "somehow tragedy plus sex equals poetry" and "your parting gift this noose-necklace"). Fun and interesting read. Adieu, Kat

The irony in just the summary was simply divine.

"(I’m wasted, can you taste it?)" -- I love the way this line just rolls of the tongue.

Your depiction of these famous characters sounds so realistic and the two lines in the middle of the poem are too true.

I think this is my favourite piece by you so far, you put such lovely imagery in your words.

Take care.
