I really like this story, though something struck me in this chapter: I have noticed in this chapter that you might rely a bit too much on dialogs to my taste, I think that a little bit more description of the suroundings and the mood could make the story even more touching. I really love the characters, and I love to hate the villains as well! Looking forward to the next chapter!

By accepting he probably just opened a whole new can of them >.> Bairre is such a little ** too. My god, I thought Eria was bad in Tainted. But I think Solas and Faelan would make a really good couple. You know...Devin really didn't seem that bad at the beginning of the story. Stupid cockmongler. This is shaping up to be my favorite Garnet story. And that's really saying something since I read This War about once a month. I check this story costantly for updates, and I'm always so excited when I see one. Keep up the awesome work. I honestly cannot wait to read the next installment. these are my favorites of all your stories ^-^

I'm glad that he did lighten up to Faelan [I hope that is right], and accepted his offer. Though it almost seems like he's doing it for the wrong reasons; To spite Bairre, and Devin... Not because he truly loves Faelan, at this point. He does seem like he's getting closer. Thank you for posting this, as always, and looking forward to seeing the next one when you have time.

He needs a little happiness and hopefully he will come to love Faelan. I've noticed that this story is more heart wrenching than the other two. Not that the other two weren't heart wrenching, but Solas's pain seems to tug at my heart more and that bastard Darin deserves to die! chops Darin's head of with a spoon

tsubaki-dono 2008-07-21 ch 11,	abuseI love Solas' father. That was beautiful, the way he cared for his people. The details in the beginning were quite short, to the point I didn't understand why people were killed off. I don't know how blood blossomed on Solas' chest either, there didn't seem to be mention of who harmed him. That was a confusing part of the tale. But even til the end, Solas' father made sure things were in order and his son would survive. I appreciated the way Solas was careful when his ship was first boarded, that was just funny to read about how he wold observe the strangers aboard his ship and clean up after them. My favourite was how he and Dragan prepared a bath for them as though to express they needed it. I, the same as Solas, thought that Devin liked him. Well, maybe not sexually since Devin seemed to look at Solas as a child. It's a shame about Linos, I really liked him and sort of half expected he would stay with Solas. Then again, his loyalty was to Devin so I suppose I can understand. Solas... poor baby. Unwanted and rejected, he has taken quite an emotional beating. I'm happy to know that he can take care of himself though. I liked that he can spar and I hope he does so again --that was fun reading there. His reaction to the new pet is cute too, snuggling in bed and keeping it as a guard. I'm actually a bit surprised that he didn't toss Oisin down, really. Faolan; I like him. He's daring and a little brash but likeable and I can't wait to read more about him. With the way he's pursuing Solas, I hope he gets the kid to thaw a little and then we can read a bit about some courting! Naturally, I want to see Solas happy. Thanks for sharing this story and I look forward to more.
Reike 2008-06-29 ch 11,	abuseI love this! The plot's great, keeps you guessing what's going to happen. The characters have a real depth to them, they're well developed. I love you writing style too, I can imagine what's going on with the way you describe things. I can't wait for the next chapter!
