Well, if you need more insight into where this story came from, the wine shop that she passes while floating along the road by the river reminds me vaguely of the Wine Shop on Front Street...

Oh, you re-posted... good, I liked this world... but this does mean that I have to re-review and tell you just how much I liked it.

I really enjoyed this!! Part of me really wants you to continue it, but on the other hand, it's very interesting on its own. It has potential to become very long and chaptered, but it's cool how you chose to just make it one quick (and extremely detailed) snapshot. Your writing style is nice and natural as well.
