Yes, it's an interesting first chapter. I'd read the whole story through.
However, by the abundant use of the first person, the main characters (or what you announced as main characters) seem more like props. And we already know more about the supposedly mysterious watcher than we should know by the denouement...

But I'm just being nitpicky. Do this your own way, you're a good enough writer to pull it off ^.^

Hummn, I think it was great!

A little mind boggling at first, but as a whole piece, it's strung together with a mysterious flare…

All in all a very good write.
