A word of caution, though; I understand Anastasia's distress over very intimidating and undesired changes in her life, but the flippant remarks and some of the obvious lack of tact makes her seem immature/ caracaturely childish (especially the last line). Braxton's extreme sterness and similar borderline caracature characteristics make this have a feel reminiscent of certain Harlequin Romance novels, which is not what you are aiming for, I think. I know the character's will mature and grow with each other, just be careful in how you write things in the beginning/ show their development. Overall, I like the idea a lot, and I'm really interested in exploring more of this fantasy world you are presenting here! |
