The End? Arg! I was about to say I'm really looking forward to seeing the resolution to all this unrequited longing you've portrayed so touchingly. Who'll make the first move? How will it happen?

A lovely couple of chapters - I loved the scene of Mithrandos on the roof watching Kandaar ride away, and the Torrell/Kandaar conversation. I liked seeing the two of them (Torrell and Kandaar) acting like grownups and deepening their friendship.

I know there will be a delay for RL, but here's hoping you continue this series soon!

Oh what a lovely story! I love Mith and Kandaar! They are certinally one of my most favourite fictional couples! Very very cute!

This is a really lovely short story. The imagery is done perfectly, from Mith looking out over the golden fields, to the vivid description of the festival and the various people there, to the contrasting appearances of Mith and Kandaar. Lots of little touches give it life, like the baby grabbing the hair of whoever holds him. And seeing the later part through Selini's eyes is very effective - she's an endearing character, and we watch and hope for Mith and Kandaar to get together along with her.
