sylvia's syndrome 2007-11-24 . chapter 1
I am reviewing everyone who has listed me as a favorite author, as a small way of saying thank you for the support. So, here is my thank-you to you.

I really enjoyed this. I can relate to this oh-so well and every word resonated. I love the first two lines. They were arresting and you had my attention as soon as I read them. I also really liked the line, “a lemming-love to leap.” Keep up the great work!

Impressive. Just the way you weave your words, it's so smooth and full of emotion and meaning. You know, I'm becoming quite a fan of yours. Good work.

Wow, really amazing piece. I think I have the exact opposite problem - continuous tiredness, or so it seems. Apparently I've come down with narcolepsy, haha. Not really, but I definitely get tired at night now. What's interesting is when I read the line "angry, coughing men in the express lane," I completely thought of a traffic jam. I don't know why. I think maybe I was thinking an express lane on a highway somewhere, but who knows. All I know is that the sounds suddenly bombarded my head. Interesting, no? At any rate, gorgeous piece. Keep writing! :)

A wonderful night-piece, beautifully worded. I think the ending is a beautiful "summary" of this piece: "a jagged strain of wanderlust". Excellent work, indeed.

This is a very relatable late-night view of the last call grocery express line before closing. I've been on both sides of that line, and can see this with such specific vividry. "comprised of creamy wonder-fathoms--", is a uniquely marvelous way to describe the potential that once was in comparison to the lost opportunities that stand now before the speaker. This captures the scene through it's balancing dance between the harshness of the reality, and the almost whispy way the since gone past has been swept away. Succint, descriptive and universally vibrant in real world specifics. Excellent, excellent work. MD:77.
