It is very frank and is written in plain language, but I love how you've written it like that. I've certainly felt the feeling of being in the shadows and being in love. My favourite line here is 'there's a heart in every barbwire gate'. To me this illustrates your point of the 'fence' between two worlds(in a sense) as well as hearts getting caught in the barbed wire.

This poem is beautiful and although the title seems to state otherwise it is very deep. Amazing job...
