I love the phrase, "over time and under reason" it's very clever. Excellent job with the rhyme scheme; it's not overly forced nor does it use cat/hat rhymes. (Which I myself am guilty of, on occasion.) Also, I like the phonetic "Per-zee-ans" ...rather enticing for some reason.
