Reviews For: The Old Hotel On Thirtieth
Kiejay 2007-06-02 . chapter 1
Very interesting imagery. Be careful though, I think I have read something very similar to your reference of the city dying and being reborn anew each day. The death of Jack was totally expected. In a sense so was Dixon's death. However, I was puzzled over the requests for help from Sam -- his character's relationship to Dixon was not that strongly suggested up until the end. And then his indifference to Dixon's death was disappointing. Are you suggesting that the relationship was really so one sided throughout their lives -- and that Dixon was so niave as to not notice it -- or that he just did not care (most people do not keep this type of "friend" for long.) And to have Dixon relying on Sam for help throughout parts of his life suggested a stronger bond from Dixon's end. The fact taht Sam appears to have been there to respond to those requests also suggests a stronger bond than his indifference at the end supports.

Over all a good job! Keep it up!
