My only comment is that you failed to connect how Tim was transported into the orb. How does the orb exsit both outside of Tim's world and within it at the same time?

Wow, I really liked this. The sentence structures were very simple, a sort of "he did this and then he went there" thing. But instead of dumbing it down, I think it really added to the overall feel of the story. Very entertaining!

You switched from past to present to past again. It makes a story look awkward.

The narration reminded me of the movie "Stranger than Fiction." Good movie. ^-^

The end was somewhat anticlimatic but it suited the idea.
