I love the imagery and the off-kilter rhyme scheme.

I really like this one, and I'm with you, I think it works better as a poem rather than a song, though it could be tweaked a bit to work that was as well. This poem is very relatable, almost strangly, seeing as how I've never shot heroin. But I think addiction is addiction, whether it's to drugs, alchohol, sex, cutting (mine), work, etc. But as sad as this poem is, it's still good. Keep writing, and feel free to read any of mine if you want. [added 2 faves]
