I apologise firstly, for taking so long to read through this, but I wanted to read it when I had time to read more than one chapter at a time and I also didn't want to just skim the story. There aren't many stories on this site that I find memorable for all the good reasons...but this story has truly stuck with me. You can tell that you love your characters and that you know them inside out which is the key to making the reader love your characters inside out also. There is a perfect blend of description, heartache, suspense and humour. I liked that it wasn't sappy - the bond between Joe and Adam was not sickeningly googly-eyed, which made the loving moments between the two particularly sweet. The writing was excellent, and there weren't any plotholes. Everything was tied together in such a perfect little package. Wonderfully done, I can't thank you enough for the truly, engaging read.

Without a doubt - The gorgeous writing, a fantastic, in-depth main character (not to mention some lovely, believeable supporting characters too), that kiss (it had to be mentioned. I read it about...five times over? And every time, the 'next murder would be me killing him' bit made me giggle like a fool) I laughed all the way through tea with mommy and friend (hilarious. literally. especially the bit about chippendale. my mom would be exactly the same way) - brilliant sense of humor, great, almost traumatising storyline (i loved amy before we even MET her) and the inclusions of...everything. and it's nice to have some loose ends, too. Like Joe and his violent...tendencies. before i go on and on, just...this was truly out of this world. one of the best things i've ever read on fictionpress. :) ~Katie
Potatoe1988 2008-07-15 ch 21,	abuseI definitely like insane characters. Sure, maybe he's not technically insane, but he undeniably has his share of the crazies. What he sees may not be insanity in itself, but it sure does cause a bit of mental stress. I also love the supernatural, so this wins points in that department, too. Fabulous!

I loved how flawed everyone was, it made them so much more real and awesome. I really hope you do turn them into series characters because then I'd adore you and have to read everything you write about them. Now I'm off to read everything else of yours ^_^

I think I actually cried a bit at the ending (I'm prone to that). Excellent story! I would say more, but it would just be unending praise. I hope you do write a sequel. I love your writing style, especially the way you take common sayings and rewrite them. Like taking 'when hell freezes over' and saying 'and well, there’s no news of the Devil buying ice skates just yet' instead.
