abuseReally incredible piece. I love the use of color in poetry, because it works to symbolize so much, and here it is obviously appropriate. The last stanza of this is just mind-blowing. There's so much going on, and there really should be, because I'm imagining a paint factory (ha, I almost typed "pain," and what a slip that would have been), and the amount of diversity possible there. Wow. At any rate, a beautiful poem. Keep writing! :)

ch 1,
abusethis is so great.
your poems appear to have so much thought behind them,
especially with historical and politcal references.
i mean, i write a lot about historical events
and current events,
but i haven't learned yet how to be so specific about it.
i always start tying it into today's world also--
most of the time so much to the point where no one can even tell what i mean and what i'm implying-- and it's not as good as it should be.
anyway, very good work(s).

ch 1,
abuse"regardless of where the trains took you./Regardless of if they took you." I liked the contrast there.

This is a very interesting, complex poem.
