Reviews For: Nothing Gold Can Stay
J.Legion 2009-02-21 . chapter 1
You clearly improved greatly between the first two parts and this one. There's almost nothing negative I can say for this part, and it gripped me through every word.

Unlike the other two, this one really FELT like a short story should feel. It was vague in all the right ways, leaving things to the imagination where details would only bog it down, and it really focused on one specific thing.

I liked his introduction to the girl, "Some call me. . . Tim." That's the way a pop culture reference should be done. Fans of Monty Python will get it, and it doesn't interfere with the comprehension of readers who haven't seen the film.

The ending felt a little tiny bit awkward for me, but there's nothing specific that catches. Mostly, the lack of target from the last bits of dialogue - I don't know who is speaking, and who they're speaking to.

Will read and put a review on the final part in a little while, and want to thank you for such an enjoyable read on this one.
[It's better written than the Meg Cabot book I'm reading at the moment. That's something. =P]
