So in the last chapter, was that just a dream, or what? And did he mean that Evelyn and Mr. Camebridge *died*, or what? That part was a little confusing. But other than that, I liked it. and I enjoyed reading the language notes, as well. I can't wait for the next book. :)

...So was that the inevitable? Did Ket just not dream the whole thing out, or was that *not* supposed to happen? I definitely wasn't expecting that! :)

They were lying, right? And I, for one, would be interested in seeing the notes you have on the languages. :)

I suppose that if he didn't go after Sorena at that battle, then the inevitable would play out--just in another place, at another time? Just curious.

Ooh! Anthro is running for Makeda's spot on the High Council? I hope he gets it. but...Ket won't be able to speak for him. ...How does he know it's *this* battle, I mean--is he jus guessing because of the dreams he had? I like this one, too. :)

I read the eight chapters and I still don't know if Kekasmai's wings are unusual. Is everyone winged? If so, why mention only hers? If not, why not mention the origin of her wings? Also, I have a real problem with the image of a woman lying down in a bed while being winged. Is it one of those traction or massage beds, where she is lying on her stomach?

I feel bad for the Ayners now. Before I guess I'd never really considered kekasmai's family...But now I do...
