I can defintely relate to this... it's the feeling I've been harboring for the past...month? I feel disgusting. I like this poem. I think anyone can relate to it, if they aren't blind. Everyone's a hypocrite; the question is what people are going to do about it. ;)

but i really like it alot.

the thing is, EVERYONE is a hypocrite. maybe recognizing it atones us for it. either way, it's better than denial.

i liked the part about fairytales- i'm the same way. i really don't believe in true love, or love at first sight, but still stupidly hope i find it.

and the masks part- i'm guilty there too. i think, really, everyone is, because things get messy when you get beyond superficial.

anyway, the point of that rant being that i can identify with all of it. don't get so down on yourself about it- maybe you're a hypocrite just like everyone else, but you recognize it, at least, and you write good poems to boot.
