Wow, I really enjoyed this story. It was a rather unique twist on a mostly-overdone plotline, but you managed to do it well. I wish you'd update it, but I guess if it's not gonna happen then no problem. I enjoyed it all the same. :)

I love this story. It's great! I especially like the last line of this chapter: "Trading one cage for another." It intrigues me in some way...the simplicity and "duh-factor" (for lack of a better word) of it all? I dunno. Keep up the fantastic work!
