I wanted to know more about Alex's relationship with her grandfather. He makes an appearance in chapter three but he seems like a completely different person in this chapter. Their relationship seems more formal, more guarded. He doesn't seem like the type of grandfather that would spoil her rotten, like he's described earlier in the story. Confusing sentence: "The top of the dress was white with a modest neckline, was tan with an embroidered pattern on the skirt of the dress and was paired off with dark green flat that matched the earning she gave me." Isn't it awkward that Megan and Haley are at a team dinner? I understand that they're helping Alex prepare food but I thought that the point of the team dinner was for the team (and the team only) to eat together? And why is it Alex's responsibility to cook? Her dad is hosting the dinner and she doesn't live at home anymore. Isn't her dad responsible for preparing food too? "such a [foul?] mouth" "I found Haley so I could get a [ride?] back." I think Connor's fight would be an even bigger deal if we knew more about the story between Keith and Alex. Alex says that she realizes that dating him was a mistake...why? Why was she attracted to him in the first place? How does Connor figure into that high school relationship? Please continue! |
