i love the characters and their little imperfections or quirks. I also love that the story is not clichéd and is different from the typical high school stories.

That was really very nice. It was totally NOT the Boy-meets-Nerd scene that everyone is so fond of. A very welcome change. Abe is a great charicter, and her awkward romance with Jack was amusing. I kept waiting for her to call him Jack the Ripper, and while she never did, that's stuck on him in my mind.

Now before my mind starts wandering, I am faving this story because it is great. I recognized most of those quotes. Including the Thomas More quip, which I detest. For a minute or two I was worried that Jack the Ripper actually felt that way. You did a good job of explaining that away.

Another good thing, you kept all the charicters out of streotype. Nobody was too perfect, they all had quirks, and the banter was nice.

Most of all... I now have the urge to start up a progect

Absolutely loved it. I always like your stories. This one was just so sweet! And you're very original! I like that. Abe was a wonderful character. Reminded me of myself when I was in school - fighting to be the best in the class, always reading something, always trying to do more and more... I still have my little everyday philosophies for making a better world, and I'm constantly found with a book in my hand (when you wrote how Abe carries two books with her always, I had to smile. I do that. Not one, two. I might read one too fast, or maybe I'll get bored with one... ). Well, as I was saying, I'm still a bit like that, but I've changed and it's been some years since I finished school. It was nice to remember.
