Lady Fingers 2008-06-29 . chapter 1
all the while i imagined your feet pimping the sidewalk

the first time we hung out was in the winter, or fall
we got starbucks coffee and the girl spelt your name with a k
you threw the cup on the ground and shouted: "its spelled with a c!"
and i knew we'd be great friends

You know, I thought the same thing after reading that part of Romeo and Juliet once. Odd. :)

Though, I noticed these:
"it's in each others eyes" -- should be "each others' eyes" because it's possessive.

"that subtle fleeting glance" -- needs a comma between "subtle" and "fleeting."

Other than those minor errors, I loved this poem. Great job! I hope you have more poetry here!

"but what is so beautiful at night becomes tarnished by day" That was the Juliet-inspired line, no? Or at least there was something like that in the play, I think, about how they wanted the night to remain so they could be together . . . ?

Anyway. This is such a genuinely honest, romantic poem, a little sad but still lovely, just like Romeo and Juliet. I love the rhyming, it was simple but very well-done. Nice job.

This...hurt. It's amazing how this can happen to other people too. I mean, the situation is so different yet the same as mine. I just loved it. Great job.
