This is really, really cute.

I love the characterization--it's somewhat subtle, possibly due to the length--in this piece, it just seems to be so...central. (Yeah, I've got such a way with words.)

I also really adore the whole almost-love-thing implied and the ending, it just screams cute. I love it. Love it, love it, love it.
