Aw, man, that was FUNNY! I've read plenty of Poe, and what may seem dark is, in retrospect, just way over the top! Nice job at capturing the over-the-top gloominess and adjective use, and I love the contrast between Jenkins and Lord Gloomrot - sanity versus insanity. This would make a great TV show. I look forward to reading more.
