I think it is time that we cancel our newspaper subscribtions and turn the tv off. The media is now monster that goes largely unchecked.

I know how you feel. I hate how the newscasters can go from "...and that's how one little terrier made it from California to Wisconsin. Isn't he cute, folks?" To, "...47 people were killed last night in a tragic...8 children..." like they can just turn themselves on and off of 'happy mode' like that. I'm sure they don't like talking about the bad stuff, but they still annoy me to no end.

I love the last stanza. Boo, Paris Hilton!
