*nod* I like this story. It's hard to define why. But this... *shrug* It means something. And it's written to mean something to a lot of people. And different somethings to different people. I don't know. I don't make sense.

I love this story, and I love the Good Samaritan reference at the end; ESPECIALLY how you connected it to modern events. Very good job subtly directing people toward a more positive view of those who are often portrayed as villains.

Hm... the one thing I'd comment on is the space between chapters. The transitions are too abrupt for me. Other than that, keep writing!

That was sad. Yes, I'm capt. state-the-obvious, but you did an emotionally charged chapter and you did it well. There was one part near the end of this that was a bit confusing due to all of the imagery. I know it isn't over yet, at least. Keep on going, willya? :)
