I also like the fact that you aren't going to drag out the whole Rafe and Elizabeth drama for another book. This is a good place for them to end. I also look foreward to the whole new set of drama you appear to be constructing for your next book. Gadrick reminds me great deal of Schmendrick (which is based on the Yiddish word for fool) however not to the point of copy-right infringement. That shall be left to the kid who wrote Eragon... Anyway, "Great heroes need great sorrow and burdens, or half their greatness goes unnoticed. It is all part of the fairy tale." ~Schmendrick, from the novel The Last Unicorn (in regards to Prince Lir getting ditched because his girlfriend had to go back to being an immortal mythical being)
toadshade 2008-07-03 ch 8,	abuseI like your stories. They amuse me. I read Ordinary World in one day, because I just couldn't stop. Someday I will go back and review all the fiction press stories that I've read. I especially appreciated this chapter's reference to The Last Unicorn. Have you read the book? If you haven't, you really should. The movie is based on the 1969 novel, and the author himself wrote the screenplay. The book is pretty dark for a story called The Last Unicorn. That's why I love it. Also, two years ago Peter S. Beagle wrote a short story sequel, and he plans on writing a full novel as well.

I loved ordinary world, but this one just kept getting better & better.. there was so much more emothins in thsi one... i bawled for the last few chapters... relic & robin..sniff sniff... I actually thought that elizabeth was gone! I was so dissapointed in rafe..after everything he & elizabeth went through he should have trusted her... she never blamed him for his stiltskin...& ren..wow...fiesty little kid... why didnt he talk up until that point? I cant wait for worlds colide... you are a fab writer... i just love your work,... i get that this series cant be published, cause half of them arent your work... but i would love to see some of your other work published... i'd definately hit the store & buy ur novels... Thank you for a great read... was up til 2 this morning finishing it... i just couldnt put it down!

Rebecca 2008-06-24 ch 39, anon.	abuseWOW. I only have one question after reading Ordinary World and Mad World: why the hell havent you gotten this published yet!?! Seriously, this is one of the best stories I've ever read, and I dont mean just online. I'm talking 'ever ever'. The last few chapters from Elizabeth's death on had me literally sobbing and bawling. But here's the thing: I dont cry easily. I didnt even cry in Titanic when they were playing that super sad song and everyone was dying and they showed the old couple lying together in bed. Everyone in the theatrecried but me. And I was like 12. But this story...oh man. The tears just wouldn't stop! I mean, come on, Robin Hood died for crying out loud! And I did cry out very loudly. And Relic! I was shocked when I started cryng all over again for him! Just when I thought I was all cried out over Elizabeth, Relic dies and it's over for me. You're a HUGELY talented author and believe me, as soon as I am ready to say goodbye to Rafe (who I've completely fallen in love with, by the way. Thanks for that, I'm ruined for all other men now...) and Elizabeth I will most definitely be reading all your other stories. And you're an amazing artist as well! I loved all the drawings you did of everyone! I had such clear pictures of what they all looked like and it just made the story that much better. All of your characters were so well developed! All the little unique touches and quirks you gave them(Sweet Bandersnatch! gotta love that line) were brilliant and added such an intimacy and realism that so many stories lack in my opinion. And actually, your stories have inspired me to get back into writing, which I haven't done since I graduated high school. So don't be surprised if one day in the near future I send you a message humbly asking your opinion of my story. It would be a huge honor to get some constructive criticism from you. And...(yes this War and Peace length review is nearly done) I absolutely can't wait to read When Worlds Collide!! I just cant get enough of those Stiltskins! So yeah, in conclusion your AFAL stoies were both AMAZING and I just wanted to let you know how much I loved them and I stayed up all night for 5 days straight reading them. ta-ta One of Your Biggest Fans (hope that doesnt sound too creepy...)

It may be kind of dumb and perhaps I've skimmed through a part of the story too fast, but I was a bit confused as to how Ren could suddenly speak. I don't really know much about muteness (that IS a word - I hadn't realised before!) so maybe you could explain that to me? (Or any other way that it's possible for you to, if you'd prefer not to do it by email - maybe in a chapter or something?) Suqian 2008-06-20 ch 1,	abuseI've read quite a few of your stories but this is the first time I'm reviewing (sorry!). Well for starters I think that in general Mad World is well written. I'm glad that you didn't stick cliche route of leaving Elizabeth and Rafe with a simple happy ending and I loved the fact that you made her a Desperate Housewife! Another positive point would be the interesting incorporation of various fairy tales into the world. You've got a very refreshing take on them! Character wise, you've managed to develop characters that actually have depth. Kudos for having sidekicks that don't exist purely for the heroes to display their talent too or that exist for comic relief (although they were genuinely funny). I loved Gadrick and Relic especially. However, there are a few things that might help improve the story. Most importantly you tend to repeat rather clumsy words (well in my opinion at least). Quintet is one example. To me at least, it seems a rather chunky word. Perhaps something the "the five of them" might remove this heavy feeling from your sentences. Also, the ending was sweet but a little too much so I think. Although it doesn't really dent the overall quality of the story I feel that it prevents it from becoming much better. On a less important note, I wished you brought Philip back more! xD Well I look forward to reading the next story!

Sarahj259 2008-06-18 ch 38,	abuseOH YAY!! I LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS!! I totally forgive you for the marital spats even though they were upsetting and Elizabeth's dream actually made me cry (true story...not even eye wateringness...real tears) this is great! Can't wait for the sequel!
