Maggie Phenicie 2007-08-22 . chapter 1
This is also great! It feels authentic without being peppered with annoying details that could easily bog it down.

I love the ending. It's so simple, so perfect. Though many stories try to end on an incessantly happy note, that would not really fit here. This is the Great Depression, and times are uncertain.

My one question is: Did his father lose re-election? Also, isn't a bricklayer kind of a good job? It's better than nothing, right?

Another great one, Miss "Alexandria Biddle." I expect you to still remember me, your amazing roommate, when you're famous.

Love, Maggie

Rather nice. You captured the spirit of the young boy, (I'm assuming it's a young boy), well very. Simple, yet thought-provoking. Seems very realistic. I enjoyed reading it.
