Nobody-n-Particular again - I found this title quite attractive. Some great alliterations and "alcohol on your thighs" just presents me with a searing vision that is as enticing as it is alarming. And great song.

wow... so beautiful in the gruesome yet elegance of it all. one part, third stanza, first line. is it suppose to be "spells" or "smells"?

I liked the imagery and the vague push and pull of religion, the ambiguity of salvation. As you drive past the church, there are these people who hold signs by the streets- invites to an ice cream social- and they smile and they wave, and you don't believe in heaven, but it makes your morning, all the same. :)

This has an interesting progression and feel. I like the active visuals, like "the canvas tore yesterday", and "you play vampire around your veins". It gives the reader a need to interpret, and recreate the visual scene by disecting the totality of it. Well written. MD:77.

fabulous opening line. i can almost hear it. draws you right in. the images are harsh, but the tone is so beautiful. i love that dichotomy.

I adored the last four lines. The whole thing was quite beautiful. "Wind-up toy Christianity" was a good image. Great job!
