Well, your prose is surprisingly purple, considering it's posted on this site, and I like purple prose, so I'm pleased. I didn't think it was very awkward though, if anything it seemed the opposite most of the time.

Your style is beautiful, basically. And the mournful tone is perfect. Oh, and you use the various writing techniques very well, I really liked the alliteration of "on slippery, scarlet sheets" in particular.

To be honest it was quite difficult to understand, although I don't personally think that's a criticism. As far as I could tell, the dead woman created illusions, either literally or metaphorically, but only the dreams she made are mourned, while she herself is almost forgotten/unknown, but I may have misinterpreted that, I suppose.

There really is no criticism that I can make, or if there is then I can't think of it, and I'll definately check out the rest of your work when I have time.
